All martial arts instructors at Han Lee's Taekwondo Academy in Castle Rock, CO are trained to ensure that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun.
Our martial arts Castle Rock instructors and instructor assistants are all required to complete an intensive martial arts leadership training prior to teaching or assisting in the classroom. During these martial arts training classes, the focus is on more than just teaching martial arts skills. Instructors also learn how to work with all students, tailoring their martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual child. Emphasis is put on encouragement and positive correction.

Our martial arts instructors are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student. Through weekly martial arts training, instructors advance their own martial art and educational knowledge to become even more effective martial arts teachers.
The Castle Rock martial arts instructors are required to maintain their personal level of martial arts knowledge. They are expected to take class on a regular basis and test at least once per year.

Master Han W. Lee
A 34 year veteran of Taekwondo
As one of the most successful coaches of the USA National Taekwondo Team, Grand Master Han Won Lee has earned international recognition for his Taekwondo skills and teaching methods. He was the head coach at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs from 1993 to 2003 and also coached the U.S. Olympic Team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.
Grand Master Lee was on the USA National Team for 8 years and competed in the 1988, and 1992 Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in the 1988 Olympic Games. Grand Master Lee was named as a U.S. Olympic Committee athlete of the year in 1986 and named as a USA National Coach of the year in 1996 by the U.S. Olympic Committee. In 1996 Grand Master Lee chose Castle Rock, Colorado to open his first taekwondo facility and today the U.S. Taekwondo Center is one of the largest schools in Colorado serving over students 450.

Head Instructor – Mr. Tim Scott
Mr. Tim Scott met Grand Master Lee in 2000 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center through the pursuit of the Gold Program when Grand Master Lee was coaching the U.S. Olympic Team.
Mr. Tim and Grand Master Lee hit it off and Mr. Tim came from Nebraska to join the U.S. Taekwondo Center Staff and work his way up to the Head Instructor Position.
Mr. Tim has been training in Taekwondo for 15 years and he is a 2nd degree black belt. He is in charge of teaching the classes along with Master Lee and is the leader of the USTC Demonstration Team.
